Hey,

Nothing really happened this week. The Branch really hates us because we had correlation yesterday with the district and our new mission president and we put how we felt and were honest and now they are upset because we said they don't do anything so that made things fun for us. It's transfers once again. My companion is leaving so now I get another companion again tomorrow. The work in our area is not going so well and this week was so frustrating and very discouraging. Other then just lots of problems nothing else happened. Sorry I don't have much to say. This week just wasn't a good one. Take care

About Me
I am serving a mission in New Jersey. I plan to go to college when I get home and major in Biology and minor in Spanish. I am an EMT and love it. I enjoy doing Taekwondo, playing lacrosse, football, and running. I am also a ballroom dancer.

Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon because my parents are Mormon so I have grown up in the Church. But just because of our parents doesn't mean we have to be the same faith. Why I really am a Mormon is because I had to find out for myself if this church is true. Things happened in my life that made me start to question the church. My friends and my seminary teacher in high school helped me start to read the Book of Mormon and to get my life back in order. There is a promise in the Book of Mormon that says if you read the book, ponder it and then ask if it is true you will know. So I did just that and prayed to know if it is true. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that this church is true. The Book of Mormon has changed my life and I am a happier person. I am on a mission so I can share this with others.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?
No, not all Mormons are required to serve missions. Our church leaders, those past and present, have taught that the Lord commands only the young men of the church to serve. Woman can serve if they choose to, but are not required. I am serving a mission right now and it has been a great experience to be able to see the change that the gospel brings into peoples lives. I know that I have been called by God to serve and it's a commandment for me to and I wouldn't give up serving for anything.

Personal Stories
Can you think of a specific challenge in your family that Gospel Principles helped overcome?
In November my 10 year old cousin passed away. She was born with a disability. It was very hard for my family to see her go. The plan of salvation has been a blessing to my family as we have an understanding of why we are on this earth and that after this life we can be together as a family again.

How I live my faith
Right now I am a missionary for the church. I love being able to share with others what I know to be true and serve them. Before my mission I did what is called hometeaching and would go at least once a month to a few families in the ward and share a message and see how they are doing and if they need help with anything. I also was able to work with the Young Men in the ward that are 16-18 years of age.

Hey,

The Pictures are: My zone when my mission president went home, A group of missionaries with a member that snuck in the picture at Mountclar state university for fireworks, My companion and I at fireworks, My old district. I wanted to send a video of the fireworks over NYC. The Macey's fireworks was amazing. So this week was really good. We didn't have any baptisms and that was sad but we found some really amazing people to teach. I had a really good 4th of July but ate way to much. We had a Columbian BBQ with members and Spanish people love to feed you till you die. After we had a Jamaican BBQ with members and ate tons of food. That took up most of the day with playing volleyball with lots of missionaries in the area. We then went to Mountclair State University and watched fireworks with Members. It was cool because we went up on a hill at the school where we could see NYC a ways off. We watched the NYC fireworks and that is something I will never be able to forget. that was amazing. Also watched the stadium fireworks done by the school. Yesterday after district meeting my zone had a birthday party for me and that was awesome. We also met my new mission president. I am so excited for this last year of my mission I love my new president so much. He is an amazing man. That's about all that has gone on around here. My Mormon.Org profile is running and you can find it by searching Tyler Sanders. Go see it and let me know how it is. Love and miss you.
