Hey everyone,

This week has been a good week. Things here are getting crazy since we get a new mission president soon. Our mission president goes home July 3, when our new one arrives. Also the missionaries that go home this month leave a week early then the new missionaries and transfers happen a week later then normal so everything is all thrown off and no one knows whats going on here. We just had mission conference on Wednesday. It was great. Sister Bahr spoke to us about families, and it was really good. The Bahrs have a handicap daughter and she said something that really stood out to me since my cousin Kate was handicap and just passed away. James E. Faust once said " the handicap are not here to be tried but we are." This week I also read Moroni 8 in the Book of Mormon. Little kids or the handicap are the most pure. They are not capable of sin but we are. Because of the atonement they are made whole in Christ. What an amazing blessing from the Lord. The plan of salvation is so amazing. If we follow Christ and do what we need to do we gain eternal life and can live with our families forever. It's amazing how many people don't understand that and it's so sad to see. We went to lunch this week to this place called Polish Kitchen. Wow, was that good and super cheap. It's been so much fun to eat food from all over. I am so excited for July 3rd. Rico and Norman both are still looking good for baptism on that day. I would ask you to keep them in your prayers. Lastly, we had a great experience on Thursday. It was 8:00pm and we didn't know where to go. It was our walking day so we set down on someones steps and prayed for help. When we finished praying this girl walked by crying and we both felt like we needed to talk to her. We still don't know what was wrong but we taught her the restoration, about families, and the atonement and after she said that is what she really needed. It was an amazing answer to our prayers. We have been seeing a lot of good things happen. We are just dying from all this humidity and heat or all the rain. It's horrible.

Hey,

On Friday we went to the New York Temple so I thought I would put some pictures in this e-mail. I hope that you get them and can see them. We had a lot of fun but it took up the whole day. On Saterday we were able to set another baptismal date so we now have two for July 3rd. Please pray for Rico and Norman that they will get baptized on that day. They are amazing kids. Both are 17 years old and want to get baptized so bad. Things here are good. It's been raining and so that has been nice that it hasn't been so hot. We have All Mission Conference on Wednesday so we are excited for that. It's hard for us because the missionaries going home leave next week, then our mission president goes home, we get a new president and new missionaries. So lots of things happening right now in our mission. Just trying to stay busy and do the Lords work. Really not much has been going on other then the normal same old stuff of trying to find people to teach and having lessons fall through and knocking doors. So we are working on it. I love and miss you all.

Hey,

This week has been crazy. All week we have been in the 90's and with the humidity we are dying. Our car broke down and we just got it back today so we have been walking all week. They redid the zones in the mission so I was in Zone 1 but now Zone 2 and they changed our district so things are very crazy here and no one really knows what is happening. Other then that things are good. We went knocking and this lady freaked out at us and was swearing and telling us to get off her property, and we were not on it, so that was fun and we were told we are false prophets and going to hell by someone else so that was great. I figured Paterson and Passaic was safer then I thought but I guess I am wrong. This week there has been lots of shootings downtown and they happen about every night. I am happy we are safe and nobody messes with us as missionaries. The work here is going alright. Not a lot going on; most of our people are not getting anywhere with the gospel but we keep trying and are finding new people. We have a baptism of a really cool 17 year old we found who is amazing and understands the gospel so well on the 19th so we are very excited. Other then that not much happening. Just been sick and in lots of pain from walking and sports.Take care.
